One year ago today our lives were forever changed with a phone call and an email.
Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of when we got the call telling us all about Cackie! We can't believe a year has passed already, so much in our lives has changed!
I can remember so many details about this day last year. Within minutes I went from having my stomach in knots to being overwhelmed with joy when we saw Xue Fu Xia's picture for the first time. I dreamed of being able to hold her in my arms then and this morning I held her hand as she walked down the steps like a "big girl". What a difference a year makes!
Just before we travelled to China last year we received updated pictures of Cackie. When we looked at them closely we realized that they were taken on April 19. So, just hours before we found out all about her she was having an updated picture taken to send to us! Is that a red-thread or what??! So, this morning I took some pictures of her at school. I've posted these "before and after" photos in our Yahoo group and on our blog ( http://wallsfamily.blogspot.com ) for everyone to see. She's changed a lot, hasn't she??
