Gotcha Day!
On May 30th we celebrated our one year anniversary together! We went out for Chinese food and gave Cackie a jade monkey bracelet that we bought in China. Wow, one year!!!

Easter 2006
The weekend after we got home from Orlando was Easter. Aunt Caryn came to visit and Cackie had a great time as usual. Her first egg hunt was fun, I think she'll really "get it" next year.
Orlando Trip
In April, I had to attend a conference in Orlando. Michael & Cackie went with me and we had a great time! When I wasn't in conference we got to visit the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center & Sea World. Cackie just loved the rides, she was even tall enough to ride the kiddie roller coaster! (35 inches tall at 20 months old) She loved it! She and Daddy sat in the front car and she giggled the entire time! We can't wait until she is a little older and we can take her back again.

One Year Ago Today...
One year ago today our lives were forever changed with a phone call and an email.
Today we celebrate the one year anniversary of when we got the call telling us all about Cackie! We can't believe a year has passed already, so much in our lives has changed!
I can remember so many details about this day last year. Within minutes I went from having my stomach in knots to being overwhelmed with joy when we saw Xue Fu Xia's picture for the first time. I dreamed of being able to hold her in my arms then and this morning I held her hand as she walked down the steps like a "big girl". What a difference a year makes!
Just before we travelled to China last year we received updated pictures of Cackie. When we looked at them closely we realized that they were taken on April 19. So, just hours before we found out all about her she was having an updated picture taken to send to us! Is that a red-thread or what??! So, this morning I took some pictures of her at school. I've posted these "before and after" photos in our Yahoo group and on our blog ( http://wallsfamily.blogspot.com ) for everyone to see. She's changed a lot, hasn't she??
